Ways to Give

Include KSF in Your Will or Trust

You can name Kewanee Schools Foundation in your Will or Trust by leaving:

  • A percentage of your estate
  • A specific dollar amount
  • Securities, real estate, or personal property

This type of gift allows you to support future generations while maintaining full use of your assets during your lifetime.

Name KSF as a Beneficiary

One of the easiest ways to give is by naming KSF as a beneficiary of:

  • Retirement plans (IRA, 401(k), etc.)
  • Life insurance policies
  • Investment or bank accounts

These gifts can often be made with a simple form through your financial institution and may avoid probate.

Payable-On-Death & Transfer-On-Death

Payable-On-Death (POD) & Transfer-On-Death (TOD) designations allow assets to transfer directly to KSF when you pass away:

  • POD: Bank accounts
  • TOD: Investment and retirement accounts

These designations are easy to set up, avoid probate, and remain fully revocable—you can change or access the funds at any time.

Gifts of Securities, Property, or Other Assets

You may choose to give:

  • Stocks or other securities
  • Real estate
  • Other valuable property

These gifts can be structured to meet your personal and financial goals while supporting KSF’s mission.

Charitable Planned Giving Options

For donors interested in more advanced planning, KSF can work with you to explore:

  • Charitable Annuities
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Other planned giving strategies

These options may provide tax advantages while creating a lasting legacy for Kewanee schools.
