The 2006 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held on Friday, September 1st in Petersen Auditorium.  The evening began with tours of KHS.  After that, the inductees and their families gathered in the Petersen Auditorium Lobby for a wonderful dinner catered by PL Damron's Catering Company of Kewanee.  During dinner, Victoria Easley-Randall gave a key-note address that was enjoyed by all.  Following the meal, the group of about 170 people moved into the Petersen Auditorium for the presentation of plaques to all of the inductees and/or their families.  This ceremony was open to the general public.  After the ceremony the group came out to the new stadium to watch the Kewanee Boilermakers play Monmouth.  During halftime, the inductees came on to the track and were recognized.  Although the Boilers were down in points most of the game, they came back in the end and defeated Monmouth!  A great ending to a great evening and a great start for the new stadium!

The Kewanee Schools Foundation and the Kewanee High School Hall of Fame Planning Committee has been receiving many letters of thanks from the various inductees and their families.  We are so glad that everyone had a great time and look forward to the next ceremony.
